Claro was first formed in Jan 2004 by Claire Sherborne.

She has moved over from the UK and was looking for affordable childcare in the evenings as she had no family over here.

"I wanted something where you could have a trustworthy, police checked person in your home, yet still be able to have money to go out. Someone who could build a relationship with the children"

Claire is a qualified nanny & nursery officer from the UK, and has always worked with children. Even having 2 of her own now aged 16 & 12.

Claire has always had a love for animals too, growing up with cats, rabbits, gerbils & hamsters.

With trips to the UK every now & then, she always had a neighbour who was happy to help out with feeding the pets.

Since she has moved this has become a problem & thought there must be some affordable way that the pets can carry on living in the home, be fed, thus allowing her to travel.

"My cats are rescue cats from the SPCA, some have been through a tough first few months of their little lives. I'm reluctant to put them into a cattery when they are so scared of change. Having someone come into the home is a much nicer option for me & my pets."
